Construction on SPARK reached a major milestone this week as steels complete on the first buildings at the £100million GDV Walsall development. The first phase of SPARK is being delivered by Origin, a joint venture between HBD, part of Henry Boot, and Feldberg Capital.

Developers have reached a major milestone at INTER, a £28 million GDV industrial and logistics scheme in Welwyn Garden City which could create up to 178 new jobs.

Last December, we announced our new joint venture platform with Feldberg Capital. Known as Origin, this partnership is focused on delivering sustainable new industrial and logistics (I&L) spaces, with three developments already under way - SPARK, Walsall, INTER, Welwyn Garden City and ARK, Markham Vale.

Contractor Bowmer and Kirkland have been appointed to deliver the first two units of 255,000sq ft and 18,000sq ft which will both be ready for occupation by Q4 2025.

Work has started on site at ARK, a new 107,000sq ft development at Markham Vale, Derbyshire.

The £19m GDV scheme will be delivered by Origin, the UK-focused mid-box industrial and logistics platform formed by HBD, part of Henry Boot, and Feldberg Capital.

The three-unit scheme will deliver 71,000sq ft of prime industrial and logistics space located in the centre of Welwyn Garden City. INTER will provide occupiers with high specification accommodation coupled with excellent ESG credentials.

Feldberg Capital (“Feldberg”) and HBD have secured a £54m development loan from BGO, for their new UK focused industrial and logistics (“I&L) platform Origin.

Origin is immediately well capitalised and will own and develop next generation, ESG compliant I&L assets, predominantly in the mid box market, across the UK.
